At your first visit, you can expect the chiropractor to
complete a thorough consultation. This will include: - Brief Paperwork
- Patient history
- Physical examination
- Diagnostic studies (when indicated)
- Diagnosis
- Chiropractic treatment
Brief Paperwork Upon entering the office, we will have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. This paperwork will provide us with general
information about yourself and your condition. Patient History Once the paperwork has been completed, you will meet with the chiropractic assistant to discuss your pain, problems and
concerns. Exam In order to determine what your actual condition is, the doctor
will ask you various questions related to your pain or issues. Next, a number of specialized tests will be performed to determine
which tissues and areas are affected and to what extent. At this point the doctor will discuss treatment options with you. X-Rays only if Necessary An X-ray can help determine the best course of treatment if you have had an injury or accident. Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist
us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Home Instructions Prior
to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include
ice or heat application instructions; avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.
